"look into the sky and tell me if any of those clouds look out of place to you" He asked her. She did as he asked her but she simply shook her head "exactly what you'd expect. Now..." he reached around inside of his cloak and pulled out a small circular glass object "...look through this and tell me that you DON'T see anything out of the ordinary"
The glass worked much like his left eye did, which was essentially made from the same material the glass object was that he had given her. I the sky were grey clouds as far as normal folk would see, but through the lens something changed. One cloud stood out above the others, shining with light that came from within it's self.

"The hell?" She muttered under her breath, staring into the eyeglass. "I've never seen anything like that." Dion removed the glass, then looked again to make sure it wasn't just her eyes playing tricks on her. The hair on the back of her neck began to stand and the essence of danger started playing on her instincts. "What is it?" She questioned, muscles tensing, ready to move at the slightest notion.

"you should relax, they will know that I can see them. However should you try to fight them they will get an upper hand over you, and should you run they'll soon catch up. I suggest that you simply leave them be until they show themselves."
He realized that he had left a large amount of information out but he gathered it would be up to her to ask questions. He turned and walked to the edge of the building and gave a small jump of of it, landing neatly upon his two feet.

"Mmrr..." She bit her lip. All her life she had been taught to fight, not stand back and wait on it. This frustrated her, but he was right in what he said. With a sigh she followed his lead off the building with simple grace. "So, who is 'them'?" It might be nice to know what or who she was going up against for the item she possessed. "And what do you propose we do if we don't fight or run? I don't think we can stay here. That would be putting this whole town in possible jeopardy."

He thought for a second before replying "Those who are human here are already doomed, for the forces that want the artefact you hold have no morals. They will use these people to get to you, and the only way these people are of no use is if they are dead. Tell me now, what were you to do with the artefact before you knew of its power? and what do you plan to do now?"

He would receive a glare from her. "Don't you tell me these people are doomed. I don't make it a point to put an entire village in danger because of something I brought to it." She looked up again into the clouds, no longer being able to spot the shining one, but she knew it was there. "If they have no morals, the only thing they want is this artifact--And me dead, I suppose. They know little of what a nuisance I will be." Dion sighed. "I was told this item was especially important, that under no circumstances was I to give it up. I was paid very handsomely, as I was told the danger would be very formidable. It's supposed to be returned tomorrow." She leaned against the house and closed her eyes. "Now? Now that I know what it may unleash in the world? I plan to get it out of here and..." Then what? "I'll figure it out when I'm not here."

He wouldn't correct her, for she wouldn't believe him. However she seemed to be on the right track.
"Well then, which direction should you be heading in?" He couldn't lead her, he could only hope she went the right way.

Dion thought for a moment, knowing they probably really needed to be moving, or else who knew what could befall them or the village. "...A friend's house. To the North. It's about four days travel from here--I think we can make it in three." That was assuming they didn't have any run-ins with whomever was after them. "Let's go." She adjusted her pack and began walking, knowing he would follow.

To the north. What little luck that followed Nero was vacant at this time. However he could only hope that what happened on the journey would enlighten this girl as to the real danger of the artefact. Many lives were already endangered by it, and many more will fall into the same category. Time would tell, but how much did he have?

Though she would have much rather traveled alone it didn't sound like he planned to go anywhere that artifact wasn't. Maybe she should give it to him since he wanted it so bad. But... Somehow that didn't seem like the best idea. This artifact was a much bigger deal than she could comprehend. About an hour of walking and they were fairly far from the town. "...Am I doing the right thing?"
How stupid she felt. She hated not having a good grasp on a situation, especially something like this.

Nero didn't reply to her for a while. several minutes had passed when he did speak up.
"Even at this very point your senses are failing you" He said, but continued before she could retaliate in any way "can you hear them following us? If you listen closely enough I bet you can hear them. The sounds very faint, as if it comes from miles away if I correctly guess your sense of hearing. However within 10 minutes I assure you that they will of caught up with us"
